“Fake it until you make it” and the “Law of Attraction”

"Fake it until you make it" and the "Law of Attraction" - I don't know if it's ever happened to you, but every time I fake something, I feel like an impostor. What should we do instead?

You may have heard: “Fake it until you make it.” I don’t know if it’s ever happened to you, but every time I fake something, I feel like an impostor, and my mind soon says: “Who are you fooling?”

Some people call this “Fake it until you make it” a method. However, those who have studied the Law of Attraction a little more deeply know that the fundamental thing for manifestation is: feeling.

Moreover, for a person seeking to be more honest, pretending ends up being quite incoherent. But even so, I tried. Tried to pretend to be a millionaire. To feel that I trust the Universe. And pretended not to be in a rush for it to manifest.

But this trick didn’t take me very far. In fact, it activated my resistances in such a way that I could no longer be fooled. Because every time I tried to pretend, a firm opposite belief became evident: the so-called self sabotages.

That saying: “water dropping day by day wears the hardest rock away” doesn’t work with the Law of Attraction. If I only change the belief’s rationality without changing my emotions, it will not happen.

“Fake it until you make it” and the “Law of Attraction.”

No one can pretend feelings. That’s why I stopped making visualizations because I was trying too hard to sustain them. This made me feel anxious, frustrated – precisely the opposite desired result.

You might say that I should work on my limiting beliefs. But to clear a conviction is against the Law of Attraction because the more I give my attention to something, the bigger it becomes.

If cleaning up beliefs and pretending doesn’t work either, what to do then?

Going with the flow

There comes a phrase that helped me a lot in this journey: “understanding generates detachment.” It’s not that I don’t care about anything else. Detachment is permission. It’s to stop the urge to control what I can’t control.

And what is beyond our control? The other people and what is already happening. We can only control how we interpret things, our point of view. This is our free will.

So, instead of pretending, you should understand who you really are. Deep down, you know that you are not what people think about you, not even what you believe about yourself. We are much more than any concept or definition.

When I started feeling this concept deep down inside, I became familiar with my ability to create, be, have, and do whatever I want.

Yes, it’s yours by right!

There is no way to know who you truly are and to feel a lack of merit at the same time. Our job is to understand that what we want is possible, even more, is ours by right.

We tend to forget the fact that there are larger Universal forces at work. They are beyond our control and comprehension.

And when you understand you are an unlimited being, doubts disappear. You no longer have to pretend. All the internal war ends.

The real source of abundance is you. And this understanding naturally puts you in the flow of abundance. Do you realize how profound this is?

The more you become familiar with who you are, the more the idea that getting what you want is natural. The more your desires are manifested!

So instead of pretending, surrender. Understand that you are God, and It is you.

How can “Fake it until you make it” help you?

“Fake it until you make it” can be used as a catchphrase that sticks in your mind so that you don’t fail to do what is necessary for your goals. For example, if you want to be a successful writer, you must write every day. Repeat until you become an excellent writer; you’ll inevitably succeed.

Control your neurotransmitters

Neurotransmitters are substances that transmit nerve impulses between our cells and generate certain sensations, feelings, and thoughts.

The Harvard psychologist Amy Cuddy has demonstrated that certain positions and movements we make are associated with neurotransmitters production like testosterone and cortisol – energy and well-being.

By practicing power poses, people will perceive you as confident; been perceived as a confident person, you’ll act accordingly.

Symbology and Archetypes

The American neuroscientist, Dr. Eric Nestler, demonstrated that our brain chemistry changes if we continuously expose ourselves to specific visual stimuli. Therefore, correctly using symbology, we can alter our brain chemistry.

For example, eagle, falcon, and owl images are some of the most potent archetypes that exist. They make our brain produce dopamine, causing an increase in self-esteem, power of action, wisdom, willingness to perform.

Not only do the images of these animals have this power, but abstract symbols that refer to them also activate the neurotransmitters.

For this reason, we have to be very careful with the images we wear and decorate our spaces. A negative archetype will deviate you from your goals and desires.

In short, for you to become the person you want to be, you have to:

  • Understand that you are an unlimited being; hence, you deserve everything you want.
  • Surrender, don’t put pressure on the results.
  • Use power poses to increase your confidence.
  • Surround your self with positive archetypes and symbols.
  • Make a habit of doing whatever it takes to fulfill your desire.

“Make it until you become it.”
