The Moon Card Meaning - Major Arcana - Ancient Alchemy Tarot - image

The Moon card lives in the 4th house and is ruled by Cancer, and the Moon energy connects with you through the 1st Chakra.

Important:
I'm using the Marseille Tarot deck because it's the first Tarot that we know about, and it was brought to this planet by Nicolas Flamel in the 14th century. It's a tool of personal development used in the secret school of alchemy. If you have any prior experience with Tarot, I invite you to open your mind to a new way of interpreting the cards. Hopefully, this information will add up to your current knowledge.

The zodiac sign Cancer is very much related to your ancestry. Card number 18, the Moon, has a giant crab in a pond, the only card on the deck that makes it clear it is related to a zodiac sign.

What does the crab do? It walks sideways; it doesn’t move forward. That’s why this card shows you are stuck in life.

The Moon: the illusions you’re stuck in

Notice the two towers and the two dogs. They appear to be in a fortress, not a prison, but the dogs are surrounded.

First of all, the Moon is the energy of the mother. And as we have seen, Cancer is the archetype of the ancestors, of the family.

Most mothers want to protect their children, don’t they? But often, they overdo it and suppress the freedom of their offspring.

That’s why this fortress is spacious and comfortable, it gives you security, but it can end up trapping you in a comfort zone. And consequently, you get stuck in life.

Because this relationship is complex but comfortable, you hardly realize how much it hinders your evolution.

However, the Moon card clearly shows the existence of a particular illusion. Some hidden truth must be discovered, for what you are seeing now may not be what is really happening. You must look for the hidden forces that must be uncovered.

All problems are illusions of the mind.

Second, anger has to do with the 1st Chakra. Notice how the trapped dogs seem to be barking; they seem angry at their situation and ask for the Sun and Moon’s help.

You need to be aware of the situations causing fear and anxiety in your mind. If not, you will feel fear, anger, or anxiety. The Moon card warns you not to allow internal disturbances and self-deception to consume the best of you.

Those deep memories and fears must be released, and the negative energies must be transformed into something constructive.

The good news is that the Sun and Moon represent the New Moon together. And the New Moon brings the energy of the element fire, and fire gives you the vigor to face the challenges in which you find yourself.

The New Moon’s light brings you clarity and understanding, and you must allow your intuition to guide you through this darkness.

Keywords: illusion, intuition, comfort zone, family, mother, childishness.

Don’t get trapped in your ancestors’ prejudices and limiting beliefs; get out of your comfort zone and…

Let the magic happen!
