Temperance Card Meaning - Major Arcana - Ancient Alchemy Tarot - image

The Temperance card lives in the 3rd house and is ruled by Gemini and the planet Mercury. Temperance’s energy connects with you through the 2nd Chakra.

Important:
I'm using the Marseille Tarot deck because it's the first Tarot that we know about, and it was brought to this planet by Nicolas Flamel in the 14th century. It's a tool of personal development used in the secret school of alchemy. If you have any prior experience with Tarot, I invite you to open your mind to a new way of interpreting the cards. Hopefully, this information will add up to your current knowledge.

Temperance is an angel, a holy being. She calmly makes the water flow from one chalice to another, suggesting moderation and balance.

The chalice and water are symbols of emotions, and Temperance gives you the energy of calmness, patience, and moderation. As a result, you don’t let the stresses of everyday life affect you.

For alchemy, Temperance resides in the 3rd house - Gemini, which is totally connected to the intellect, so Temperance is the card of intelligence.

Temperance, the intelligence card

Notice that Temperance has a flower in the Crown Chakra, which means she is connected with the Supreme Intelligence.

While the High Priestess holds sacred knowledge and the Hierophant spreads it through his powerful oratory, Temperance creates that knowledge.

Passing water from one cup to another reminds us of chemical manipulation in a laboratory, meaning she is creating knowledge.

Intelligence is the ability to create knowledge, not simply accumulate it. In addition, Temperance makes this sacred knowledge flow, setting us free.

Intelligence is the ability to create knowledge and share it.

Temperance

When you read a book or take a course, you must put its content into practice. As you use this new knowledge, you connect it with other information you already know. And this creates new knowledge!

Science knows that when you teach others, you learn. When you teach, not only do you tap into the intelligence of Temperance, but you register that knowledge better. Besides, of course, helping others.

Temperance, the flow of knowledge

She shares her knowledge when she transfers the water from one chalice to another. Making it flow, inspiring you.

Study, practice, and help. This is the law of prosperity. Whoever reads one book after another, or takes one course after another without applying the knowledge in practice, creates karma. You will understand more about this in the Devil’s card.

Knowledge is responsibility, both to oneself and to society. Tarot is a compelling subject, so dear reader, you now have the responsibility to be the guardian of this transformative knowledge.

The chalice has much to do with receiving because it’s opened only at the top, and the top of the cup is the Crown Chakra. Many people receive new information but don’t want to share it for fear that others will use it better.

By handing over your knowledge, you are making the most beautiful donation. The best gift you can give someone is to teach them something they need.

The more you share knowledge, the more you are inspired, the more you learn, and above all, the wiser you get.

But you have to do it carefully. It’s not enough just to share knowledge; you have to share what the person needs and is ready to receive. Otherwise, instead of helping, you end up in a fight.

Keywords: intelligence, adaptation, moderation, liberation, sacred knowledge, share.

Use your knowledge with intelligence, make it flow, and…

Let the magic happen!
