Description

Our One Line Drawing Posters are inspired by the Picasso One Line Art Drawing Series. Bristlecone pines of the western United States are known to be the oldest living plants on Earth.

Associated with Confucius and the Taoist immortals, the pine is a favorite subject of Chinese and Japanese painters and poets. In fact, with a few brushstrokes, a Japanese painter can transmit the unmistakable presence of pines amid the grey mists of winter.

Pines were sacred to Egyptian, Greek, and Roman gods and goddesses.

East or West, almost all of the ancient cultures believed the pine tree image to bring wisdom, longevity, peace, regeneration and good luck, and to protect from evil spirits.

To the Native American culture, a pine tree is a symbol of wisdom and longevity. To others, its needles and sap are medicine that protects people from illnesses and witchcraft, unaffected by the blows of nature.

“Pine Tree One-liner Drawing” is featured in our “Minimalist Botanical Series.” These minimalist botanical posters are all about mindful home improvement.
